Lowering fever is dangerous
Viruses and toxins hate fevers because fever slows replication and cleanses the body. Fever also revs up our immune system so our white blood cells and other chemicals can function more effectively. Fever is one of life’s most powerful healing mechanisms. Artificially lowering fever makes people sicker and can kill you.
In a new study published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society researchers found that suppressing flu fever using aspirin, ibuprofen and acetaminophen (Tylenol™) may lead to tens of thousands of additional flu cases as well as over a thousand flu deaths in North America.
